Avoid it at all cost, the puddle up ahead
Or step right on ’cause I’m not afraid
I have done both a plenty myself
I guess depending on how I felt
But often I left wondering
If I can stop hurrying
So I can quit my pondering
About this puddle I’m noticing
Could there possibly be
something cool I could find
Beside that silly face of mine?

Hopefully I’ll get a hang of it the more I paint. I still struggling with this. I might try to take a folding chair with me the next time I go outdoor painting.

Master Copy Painting assignment#1 from my class with Dice. We had to paint this with an upside down picture reference. It’s interesting because I had no idea what was the thing I painted. Even though I could make out some parts, most of what I could see were a bunch of color shapes. I tried to dissect as many colors I could see and tried to get them on my painting. It took me very long to finish the painting. I was surprised at the result as I thought I would fail. I was even more surprised once I flipped my painting. It actually looked quite readable.

It’s been a while since the young prince last returned to his kingdom. Lots had happened that he didn’t have the chance to document. After a long journey he finally got a chance to proof his worth as the colossal duck rider. He went through all the trouble for his chance at taming the duck, using the skills he horned for years. When he met his “destiny duck”, he struggled at first. But as time went by, he felt like he had gained some control. Perhaps he gained some trust from the colossal duck. He knew that from time to time, he will struggle to control the duck. Hardship would come his way, and he hoped to get through it. Whatever would happened, he would try his best.
So one day he could tame the colossal duck, ride it home and tell his people
his stories.
